Pirates on the Panhandle, Inc. is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Corporation as outlined by the State of Florida. Operating as a Social Club, we invite other like-minded folks to join our ranks as we get involved in the Navarre community by hosting charitable events to support other non-profit organizations in the area.
In 2013, our Club took over the Annual Navarre Beach Car, Bike & Truck Show and in the last 10 years we have been able to make the event very successful. In 2019 unfortunately, we did not host the event due to COVID. This past October 14th we hosted the 22nd Annual Navarre Beach Autorama 2023 as we re-branded this event with a new name for last year only. Up till this year, the largest event we ever had was 144 vehicles; however, last year's event had 159 vehicles entered and was the BIGGEST Car Show we've ever had by our Club. Check it all out on our Car Show website by going to the YouTube video @ www.NavarreBeachCarShow.com Each year profits from this event go into the Club's Charity account and funds will then be donated to other charitable organizations in our community the following year. The goal is to have over 2K per quarter being given away. In '23, the Club donated $10,564 to other non-profit groups in the Navarre community and in '23 we have donated over $18,500. On January 1st 2018, the Club hosted the Inaugural New Year’s Day Pirate Plunge into the Gulf of Mexico with over 500 people in attendance and raised over 8K to benefit the Weekend Food Program of Navarre. The 2nd Annual Pirate Plunge was a much bigger and better event again benefiting the Weekend Food Program of Navarre. The 3rd Annual Pirate Plunge benefited Food For Vets. In 2019 the event was postponed due to COVID-19; however, the 4th Pirate Plunge, which benefited the Navarre Pregnancy Resource Center, was another success with over $7,300 being donated to them along with the sponsors funds from the prior year, even though we didn’t do the plunge, for a total of over 10K going to the Navarre Pregnancy Resource Center. The 5th Annual Pirate Plunge assisted two different charities in our community; The Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge along with Set Free Refuge with each group receiving $5,000. The 6th Annual Pirate Plunge benefited both the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center along with the Surf Brigade, which provides Surf Therapy for Veterans by Veterans. Our Little Band of Pirates are proud to announce that with this event and donations of $5,500 to each group we have now donated over $202,000 to over 50 other nonprofit organizations in the Navarre community! We welcome candidates to join our Little Band of Pirates to help assist in the planning and support the charitable and social events the Club does while enjoying some Grub & Grog with each other as we continue to do great things in our community. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrr you ready to come on board and help us help others that are in need of some financial assistance? We are living proof that NOT all Pirates are Bad!
