Pirates on the Panhandle, Inc. is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Corporation as outlined by the State of Florida. Operating as a Social Club, we invite other like-minded folks to join our ranks as we get involved in the Navarre area community by hosting several charitable events over the year to support other nonprofit organizations.
In 2012, our Club took over the Annual Navarre Beach Car, Bike & Truck Show and in the last 13 years we have been able to make the event very successful. In 2019 unfortunately, we did not host the event due to COVID; but we did have the Annual Cruise-In on Friday night. This past October 10th, we hosted the 25nd Annual Navarre Beach Car Show, which had 154 vehicles it almost topped our largest event of 159 vehicles entered a few back. For more info on the Car Show go to: www.NavarreBeachCarShow.com Each year profits from this event go into the Club's Charity account and funds will then be donated to other charitable organizations in the Navarre community next year. The goal is to donate over $2,000 per quarter, and in '24, our Club donated over $19,000 to other non-profit groups in the Navarre community and in '25 we donated well over $20,000. This brought our total donations, since May of '09, to over $227,000. On January 1, 2010, our Club was responsible for the very First Polar Plunge in Navarre when 'Freezing For A Reason' was started at Juana's Pagoda. Several years later, we hosted the Inaugural New Year’s Day Pirate Plunge into the Gulf of America by the Navarre Pier with over 500 people jumping into the Gulf and we raised over $8,000 to benefit the Weekend Food Program of Navarre. The 2nd Annual Pirate Plunge was a much bigger and a better event, once again benefiting the Weekend Food Program of Navarre. The 3rd Annual Pirate Plunge was to benefit Food For Vets. Due to COVID-19 in 2019, the Pirate Plunge event was not held, however, all the sponsors agreed to donate the funds raised, a little over 3K to the Navarre Pregnancy Resource Center, and then the following year they were the beneficiary of the 4th Annual Pirate Plunge, with another $7,300 being donated to them, for a total well over 10K going to the Navarre Pregnancy Resource Center. With the 5th Annual Pirate Plunge, our Club assisted two different charities in our community; The Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge, along with Set Free Refuge, with each group receiving over $5,000. The 6th Annual Pirate Plunge, we also chose to donate to two non-profit groups; the Surf Brigade, which provides Surf Therapy for Veterans by Veterans, along with the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center. Last year's 7th Annual Pirate Plunge went to a NEW nonprofit organized just a few earlier, called The Friends of Santa Rosa Veterans Treatment Court. A group assisting our Vets who need assistance when they end up in our court system. Over $9,000 was raised and given to help some of our Veterans! This past January 1st, at the 8th Annual Pirate Plunge, we donated over $6,000 to Caring and Sharing of South Santa Rosa County. Our Little Band of Pirates are very proud to announce that we have now donated almost $240,000 to over 65 other nonprofit groups in the Navarre community as of the end of the 1st quarter of 2026! We welcome candidates to join our Little Band of Pirates and help us assist in the planning and support the charitable and social events the Club does while enjoying some Grub & Grog with each other as we continue to do some great things in our Navarre community. Arrrrrrrrrrrr! you ready to come on board our little Pirate Ship and help us help others that are in need of financial assistance? Our Club is living proof that NOT all Pirates are Bad!
